Rise to the Challenge with McDougalls

At Premier Foods we are pleased to have just launched a range of reformulated recipes across our McDougalls flour based mixes, marking the brand’s biggest ever product review in recent years.

We are urging caterers across the industry to rise to the challenge to deliver best in class sweet and savoury baking using the range, which includes favourites such as Soft Bap Mix, Plain Sponge Mix, Pizza Base Mix and Chocolate Cookie Mix.

This launch reaffirms our commitment to the foodservice industry and we are delighted to be able to boast being the only supplier within the category to supply a range that meets FSA 2012 guidelines. The caterer is always at the heart of our range developments and we are confident that we continue to lead the category in providing best in class, fit for purpose products that caterers can trust. As part of the launch, which runs across the top 13 SKU’s*, the improved range is also free from hydrogenated fats, artificial colours and preservatives.

Boasting a great taste and delivering a moistness and consistent texture, the mixes only require a limited skill set. Ideal for caterers under increasing pressure to continue delivering the quality and quantity of dishes required, the range allows staff to make fresh products virtually from scratch, cost effectively and quickly. The portfolio is also being supported by new refreshed packaging which has been developed with the caterer’s needs in mind, with easy product recognition on shelf.
