Ingredients
- 325g McDougalls plain flour
- 625ml Water
- 250g Butter
- 10 Eggs
Method
- Place water and butter into a pan and put on a low heat
- Once the butter has melted, turn up the heat. Take the water to a rolling boil
- Remove from the heat, and immediately add the flour
- Beat with a wooden spoon until well combined
- Smooth the mixture onto a plate to cool and when cooled place in a bowl
- Beat the eggs
- In small additions, add the beaten egg to the flour and butter mixture
- Continue adding the egg, until a smooth dough forms, which comes away from the edges of the bowl
- Spoon the mixture into a piping bag, and snip the end
- Pipe onto a lined baking tray
- Take a little water on the end of your finger and smooth down any peaks
- Bake in a hot oven (200- 220c) for approx 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
